I’ve been feeling kind of nostalgic about my former bodybuilding days, and all of the recipes and ways that I used to include extra protein when I was hungry. And given the occurrence situation that I am in healthwise, I’m really struggling to eat things and enjoy them. Not that food is entirely about pleasure, but it does help. I’m sure you can relate lol


I wanted to share one of my go to recipes with you guys, that is actually healthier And more delicious than what I used to make 10+ years ago. (Wow, do I feel old saying that lol 😂 )



Ingredients:


•8 tbsp room temperature salted butter, divided - 5tbsp and 3 tbsp. ** you can use unsalted butter and add 1/8 of a teaspoon of salt total divided amongst your butter.

•2tbsp Peanut Butter Equip prime protein (3tbsp butter)

•10tbsp Chocolate Equip Prime Protein (5tbsp butter)

Instructions:


  1. In a bowl, using a spatula, mix 3tbsp of butter with 2tbsp peanut butter Equip Prime protein powder until smooth and silky.


  1. In another bowl, mix 5tbsp butter with 10tbsp chocolate Equip Prime protein powder until smooth. It’ll be a bit more dry mixing and I suggest folding and pressing with your spatula.


  1. Line a mini muffin tin with mini muffin parchments. (You can use large muffin tins for this if that’s what you have. Just follow the rough ratio below.)


  1. Spoon a small amount of the chocolate mixture into the muffin cup and press it down with the back of the spoon. It should be about half full.


  2. Spoon a small amount of the peanut butter mixture in to bring it up to about 3/4 full.


  3. Top with an another small amount of the chocolate mixture and press gently finish filling the parchment cup.


  4. Chill or freeze for 20 to 30 minutes.


Store in the refrigerator to maintain optimal texture.
